The incredibly majestic St Paul’s Cathedral was the setting for the ordination service of 32 Church of England Ordinands. Amongst this group of was one of the Railway Mission’s chaplains, Christopher Henley. This service marks some quite significant changes for Christopher as he moves area with Railway Mission to take over the South West Trains and Southern area from Joshua Shinhmar. Christopher was supported at the service by a number of Railway Mission Chaplains, Rev. Johnston the Executive Director and Rev. Porter, one of the Trustees.
The ordination was conducted by The Rt Revd and Rt Hon Richard Chartres, Bishop of London. The site of St Paul’s has be a place of worship for over 1400 years and we are pleased that Christopher has become part of that long and faithful history of service to God and pray that the Lord will continue to bless his ministry in the Church of Christ and Railway Mission.
