WheWedding Photographher in BristolWedding Photographs Boston in Lincolnshire n Heather and Gary planned their perfect wedding to take place on the 30th of June 2012, they chose the Woodhall Spa Hotel as the ideal place to hold their wedding reception. But just a couple of days before the wedding Heather and Gary discovered that the wedding venue had to closed down after damage was caused by flash flooding to its ground floor level.

But despite this major setback Heather and Gary turned disaster into triumph when they found a replacement venue close by called ‘Witham and Blues’, a New York Style Bar and Grill based in Langrick on the outskirts of Boston in Lincolnshire.

Witham and Blues is an entertainment, party and wedding venue with a 120 seater function suite, but having only quite recently opened they were able to accommodate at short notice Heather and Gary’s wedding. Another Local hotel, the White Heart Boston, was used for the Bride and Bride’s Maids to get ready.Wedding Photographs Boston in Lincolnshire

Everyone pulled together to get the wedding preparations done on time. Even as the bride’s maids were having their hair and make-up done for the wedding, Heather set about organising the table plan for the guests. Instead of the usual name cards for the table places, Heather used photo’s of the guests instead of name cards.

The torrential rain that deluged parts of the country stopped for that day and the sun shone. The brightness was such that we often had to find areas of shade for people to stand in as the light reflecting of the white walls of the venue made folk squint; but with the ground so wet people sank into the ground. Nevertheless, despite all the problems, the wedding was a great success.

My first wedding photography was when I was 17 years of age. Both the equipment has change over time as has my style and ability. Photography has been a passion for over 30 years. In fact probably over 40 years, but 30 since I purchased my first SLR Camera. It was a Richo XR7 and at the time it was a top of the rage camera. Now I shoot with the Canon 5D Mk ii.
