The Church of St. Benedict in London, known as Ealing Abbey is one of the best churches I have ever had the privilege of taking Wedding Photographs. Many churches can be quite dark with poor lighting and wood stained dark brown. Although this can be very atmospheric for a bride and groom's wedding day for the photographer the light or lack of light can be a real difficulty, especially because for the majority of the time the photographer is not allowed to use any flash to compensate for the poor light. But Ealing Abbey is bright and sensitively lit. The golden quality of the stone work gives a wonderful soft and warm quality to the wedding photography. The large windows allow natural light to flood into the church with the electric light being used to to enhance the architectural detail of the church.
