There is something captivating about snow and ice; from the random patterns of snow that form as the flakes first settle then begins to melt to intricate lace work of ice crystals that randomly form as moisture in the air freezes as it contacts a solid surface. Each ice crystal is unique each one forms and grows with a variation and complexity that is both staggering in complexity and beauty. Yet in this incredibly diversity there is an amazing uniformity. No single snow flake is the same as any other snow flake, yet every snow flake is recognisable as a snow flake; despite everyone being different from the next.
There are many towns and villages that have thatched Cottages, often people say that they are "chocolate box" houses, referring to the fact that on speciality boxes of chocolates a 'typical country scene' would be pictured on the lid of the box and this usual focused on a traditional Thatched Cottage. This box of chocolates has clearly been put into the freezer for safe keeping. because there is no guttering to carry the water from the melting snow icicles have formed like some kind of natural Christmas decoration.
