So your big day has arrived and every detail of the wedding has been meticulously planned so that you will have the wedding of your dreams. First you found the perfect wedding venue, then a place to hold the wedding reception. You carefully chose the wedding dress, the bridal bouquet and flowers for the church. Each detail of your wedding was panned and arranged with all the love and attention you can give.
At the most basic level a wedding is all about the Bride and Groom and their commitment to each other through the exchanging of wedding vows and the giving and receiving of rings; but there is so much more to a wedding then this. A wedding is a theatrical set, with the central characters always taking central stage and like a lot good stories this is a three act play. Act one is the preparation, the hair and make-up for the wedding. Act two is the ceremony exchanging of wedding vows and the giving and receiving of rings. The third act is the Wedding Breakfast or Wedding Reception, this climaxes with the first dance. As a photographer it is my role to tell the story of your wedding day through the wedding photographs. Although every wedding follows this general format and structure with the same story being reenacted time and time again by happy couples every week, each bride wants to make her wedding both memorable and unique.
To make your wedding both memorable and unique you spend time on the little details that make your wedding just that little bit more special. Wedding decoration for the top table or for the guests are very important for creating that all important 'memorable' factor. As you create the feel of the wedding, the ambiance of the wedding reception then your creativity can fly and you can create the wedding of your dreams.
But it is not always the wedding favours and table decorations that are the little details that can be overlooked; sometimes it can be the little people at the wedding that make such a special impression. Photographing the little things or the little people at wedding is something that some photographers overlook; but for me they are all part of the story of your wedding day.
